D9 - Personal Project For my personal project i have a rough idea about the fact i want to compose some songs as a part of it, however choosing the genre may be one of the harder parts for me. For example, i could compose great lyrics for a heavier, more emotional song and lack creativity in the other aspects or even compose a swanky bass line for a funk song and struggle to make a melody line to accompany.  Potential ideas for personal project: compose and produce original song with music video EP with album cover creating merchandise? Personal project plan: For my personal project, i have decided to compose an song (heavily inspired by sludge metal bands like Acid Bath). If i've finished that and still have time I will create a music video to accompany. The reason why i have chosen to do this is to mainly focus on the improvement and display of my songwriting skills, but also to show my progress using a software like premier to edit footage to match the conventionality to my...

Collaborative Project Planning Outline and Plan For my collaborative project, me and my group have decided to create a band called DICE and will work together to produce a 3 song EP. All of them will be released on Soundcloud or Bandcamp. The purpose of this project is to create, rehearse, record and perform our original songs to a live audience to showcase and promote our track releases. Our target audience leans towards younger people and college students who are interested in discovering new, alternative music. We would like our music t...

60s STYLE GIG Rehearsal: For our 60s performance, we had around 4 weeks to pick and practice a cover song for our assessment. My band decided to cover Fortunate Son by Creedence Clearwater Revival. During rehearsal time our band made it a point to communicate any concerns with each other. Unfortunately, one of our band members had been absent from college so this was one of the first issues we had to overcome. We came to the conclusion that Charlie would be lead guitar, me on rhythm guitar, Harry on drums and Kam on bass. Up until the day of performance Charlie had been doing vocals to keep everyone up to speed in the song. During our rehearsal we slowly worked verse by verse through the song until we had perfected each section. We had noticed that one of our weak points within the song was our dynamics so we made sure to exaggerate our loud and quiet sections during rehearsals to prepare us for our performance.  Evaluation : Our performance sounded very tight due to us all keeping...
